When we begin preparing a property ready for sale, we will do an initial walk-through to analyze the current condition. We want to look at the property through the Buyer’s eyes. Sometimes a property may need small changes like adding some color to the landscaping, updating lighting fixtures, a deep clean or fixing that broken kitchen drawer you have learned to live with. But sometimes, the property needs a lot of work to bring it up to today’s market standards and demand top dollar from your Buyer. The property featured in this post falls closer to the later category. It is a home that has been well loved for many years but is now ready to be thoroughly updated for its new owners.

Once we had the Seller’s budget in place, they handed us the key and we got to work! We met with our stagers to select paint colors for the walls, trim, ceilings and cabinets. Our general contractor began the work removing the existing carpet, appliances and countertops. We assisted him in selecting the new carpet and countertops. He worked tirelessly with his own team to make our vision a reality. Once he had completed all of the work, it was time to bring the stagers back in.  They helped transform the empty rooms into warm inviting spaces where Buyers can visualize their own life.

With the proper updating, staging and photography, clients are always amazed with how beautiful their property looks when it’s time to go to market. This property shows you that small changes can make a huge difference!
